Label CopyThis blackware aryballoid jar or urpu has a slip, flaring rim, pointed base, and round strap handles near the base. There are bird and fish relief designs on the sides. The lip of the the spout is chipped and broken. The vessel shape is diagnostic Inka, but the decorative motifs and blackware are typically Chimu, making it likely that this vessel was made by native Chimu potters after the Inka conquest of Chimor in 1470 AD. This vessel is mold-made.
