Label CopyShen Quan, also known as Shen Nanping, was an artist who specialized in bird-and-flower painting. Paintings of vividly portrayed birds and flowers are admired and collected by connoisseurs in China. Depictions of birds-and-flowers in circular fan shapes are placed on the top of the scrolls. A picture of a pair of magpies in a plum tree would also make an appropriate wedding gift, representing wishes for marital happiness.
