Label CopyOne of the more elegant geometric designs, composed of large and small triangles, the Lady of the Lake pattern may have been named after a poem of the same title written by Sir Walter Scott. The heroic tales of Scott were widely popular, and the Lady of the Lake quilt block appeared shortly after publication of the poem in 1810. It is one of the few quilt block patterns not known by other names.
