Label CopyA beautifully formed two-part sisal basket with pitch coated interior to make it waterfroof, this work is exceptionally richly decorated with two rows of attached cowrie shells, symbols of wealth and fertility. The removable lid has a knobbed handle and different types of basketry are used on the body of the vessel for a striated effect, enhancing the beauty of the form.Collections
