Label Text: Born in Magelang, Java, Wimo Ambala Bayang lives and works in Yogyakarta. He was a founding member of the photography collective Ruang Mes 56. This pair of images reveals the beauty and menace of the thick layer of volcanic ash that fell on Yogyakarta and other areas of central and eastern Java from the eruption of Mount Kelud in February, 2014.
