The stopper is tourmarine on a green plinth. 
One side shows Zhong Kui mounted on a donkey escorted by a demon while a second demon holds an umbrella over Kui’s head. The legend of Zhong Kui, the Demon Queller dated from the Tang Dynasty. An immortal, he arranged for his younger sister to marry his benefactor. They are travelling on the clouds just above the ground. 
The other side depicts that he is escorting his younger sister seated in a sedan wheeled cart on her way to her wedding, pushed by one demon while another leads the way holding a lantern on a long pole to light the way against a clouded background. The calligraphy lists the artist and the date of painting (June 13, 1905).
