The front depicts Sun Wukong turning the Heavenly Place upside down. The reverse depitcs Sun Wukong fighting a fire warrior with a sword. (This is the story of Buddhism coming to China.) The monkey figure called Sun Wukong is the depcition of the free spirit. This bottle theme appears to be a copy of a bottle by Dong Kun. (See page 78, No. 161 in Leung, a New Look of Chinese Inside Painted Bottles.) The calligraphy says "Made in late spring 1991."</schema:description><schema:artForm>Decorative Arts</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://emuseum.cornell.edu/objects/47557/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork></schema:itemListElement></schema:ItemList></rdf:RDF>
