The high handle is formed from two long pieces of split bamboo bound together and knotted at the top with an extra decorative insert. The handle is attached to the sides of the basket with rattan stitches.  The rim is banded with rattan and attached with insect stitched wrappings.  The base has four lacquered support inserts with one signed. The high handle is formed from a single long piece of split bamboo attached to the outside of the basket with rattan insect wrapping stitches and decorated with three interlocking V knots. Below the shoulder is a single horizontal bamboo band which is attached with a series of rattan cross knots. The rim is banded with rattan and attached with insect stitched wrapping to the neck of the basket. The base has two lacquered support inserts with the top one signed.
