The transparent olive-green glaze coats only the upper portion of the jar and pooled to a handsome, deep olive color at the horizontal ridge that encircles the waist. Such ridges served a practical function to stop the flow of the glaze and prevent it from dripping down and possibly fusing the jar to its kiln supports. </value></field><field label="Media" name="media"><value>72.109.006_Disc0422_04225006</value></field></object>
