Decorated on the four sides with bamboo and floral medallions and on the top with a landscape medallion. Fairly good condition. A long crack runs under the top ledge all around except for a portion on the back. On the top a crack starts in the upper right corner and branches in two directions. On the front a piece is chipped out from the center interrupting the bamboo design; another piece is chipped off near the base. On the right side a crack at the cornice runs the height of the box. On the left side is a horizontal crack near the top. On the back one can see the crack from the top continuing about half-way down the corner of the box; there is also one thin crack that runs the length of the box, passing through the peony.
