Made of a heavy metal with silver or a silver colored inlay in scrolling floral and leaf motifs on the sides and top, and a "saw-tooth" type band around the beveled edge of the lid.  The box opens to reveal four smaller hinged lids opening at right angles to the main lid.  The central two lids cover one central compartment, the outer two lids each cover a smaller outer compartment.
