The stopper is agate on a black plinth. One side depicts five boatmen from the village called “Shiye”, in three sanpan boats. The other side depicts seven men standing under a tree. One is brandishing a sword. The calligraphy says these seven men are getting together because of their common belief, and their valued friendship/brotherhood. They are said to be almost like stars. In one sense they were the “Chinese Robin Hood”.
