High relief in polychrome metals including silver and gold is used for prominent features: a man washing laundry in a wooden basin next to a stream and two thatched cottages in the background, and a seated woodgatherer on a mountain slope. A peach floating down the stream suggests the folktale of Momotaro (Peach boy). Interior, nashiji ("pear-skin gourd"). "Mizutani Shutoho saku" inscribed on the bottom center; "Yanagawa Naomitsu" with kakihan (cursive monogram) in gold lacquer on lower left corner of the base.
