He stands in front of a boat, looking directly forward, while an oarsman poles towards a tree-lined shore. One attendant is seated inside the boat, and another waits by a thatched gate perhaps leading to the poet's rustic dwelling. Difference in tonal treatment of tree tops and leaves depicts mists or fog enveloping willow-like trees, thus creating an atmospheric depth. Seals and signature of the painter on lower left. "Imitating the brush idea of Wu Ling." Wu is a Chinese painter in the Ming dynasty, whose style took after the Yuan masters.</schema:description><schema:artForm>com.gallerysystems.emuseum.core.entities.Classification@5f</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://emuseum.cornell.edu/objects/37565/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork></rdf:RDF>
