Standing next to a rustic hut, a man holding a walking staff looks towards the steps leading to a temple nestled on the next hill. First leaf of a set of 12 in an album of landscapes after old masters. For each leaf, artist specifies in inscription which artist's style he is imitating. Common to several leaves are the use of dry brush, hemp-fiber texture strokes (pima cun), light colors or monochrome ink, and the three-part composition of trees in the foreground, water or clouds (left unpainted) in the middle ground, and distant mountain mass in the background.</schema:description><schema:artForm>com.gallerysystems.emuseum.core.entities.Classification@5f</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://emuseum.cornell.edu/objects/37542/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork></rdf:RDF>
