Decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with blossoming prunus or plum branches, two of which ascend together, the other two descending together;  branches are reserved in white on a ground of blue laid on in varying tones, broken up into roughly hexagonally outlined shapes (this effect is sometimes called \"cracked ice\")  The branches are textured, gnarled and knotty.  Just below the neck is  a stylized bomb pattern.  The neck, the thick, rounded foot rim and the inside of the cover are unglazed.  The bottom is indented, glazed and contains a double concentric ring in underglaze blue.
