It is glazed white all over, and decorated with red, pink, and gold enamels to create a pattern of white spots on a pink coat. Its eyes are enhanced with tiny blue glazed dots. The side of the ball is decorated with a red enamel dragon, and the underside of the ball is a gold lacquer peony flower in low relief over the unglazed surface.
