The obverse features the figure of Columbia, holding cornucopia in her right hand, surrounded by billowing draperies. A wheel with wings is seen before here while a putti holds a tablet displaying the word industry upon it. An exposition building is seen within the background. The reverse features an inscription with raised field in center for the recipient's name flanked with a palm frond and a cotton plant branch.
