The obverse features the image of a wounded soldier who is seen seated on the floor shirtless, with his head bandaged as he leans on a makeshift pillow. A second, shirtless soldier is still wearing his helmet but kneeling down and tenderly grasping the wounded soldier behind the kneck while offering a bowl of something to drink or eat. The wounded soldier is seen grasping the the other soldier on the arm.
The reversed features the image of a large mushroom cloud or atomic blast and the aftermath it leaves. Smoke is seen billowing in the air while dirt and debris rocket to the sky. The ground appears completely empty yet, it is in fact a sea of corpses piled one on top of the other, in various poses. Along the horizone line the inscription ominously reads, "WORLD UNITY OR OBLIVION."
