His drapery softly covers the left shoulder, leaving his right shoulder exposed. A long strip of cloth running over his left shoulder falls over his chest and down his back, and the highly stylized robe creates a weavy line on the vertical edge, which is curved forward on the lower parts. His face slightly tilts to his right, with the curving eyebrows and downcast eyes typical of the Sukhotai style. Of all schools of Buddhist art, Sukhotai is the first to represent the four attitudes of Buddha as described in the texts: walking, standing, seated, and reclining. The walking Buddha, usually with his left arm raised in the vitarka mudra and right arm hanging downward.
