The obverse features the image of a large German soldier c. WWI who is seen mid-stride, carrying a woman who appears limp or lifeless in his arms. Beneath his feet lies the body of a young child who appears crouched or lifeless. Around the edge of the coin is the inscription, "KULTUR IN BELGIUM" while a second banner beneath the feet of the soldier reads, "MURDER PILLAGE". The reverse features a bust portrait (caricature) of Kaiser Wilhelm II as Attila the Hun, with stylized, turned up moustache, wearing the Imperial Pickelhaub helmet decorated with a crown of laurel leaves. Wilhelm also wears a necklace of small human skulls around his neck that meets in the center with a large cross while beneath a small cartouche reads the words, "HIS ROSARY." A large bayonette is seen raised to his right.
