The handle is shaped like a twisted vine and has a small, incised and moulded loophole on its top. The cover is moulded and incised to resemble a budding lotus flower. The medium high glazed foot rim is marked by five spur marks, four of which still are imbedded with stones, and the base plate has three areas of grit. The body of the ewer is covered with an over-all incised design of grape clusters and vine leaves. [Lid is in fairly good condition. Portions of the leaf decorations are chipped off. Glaze is chipped off in five tiny spots on rim and underneath. Ewer is in good condition. Handle has been repaired at both ends. Two cracks at the upper and lower base of the spout, 1" and 1/2" respectively.
