Sides are rounded and taper near the base. Base is slightly concave. Decorations are molded and attached to the upper portion of jar: a looped rope pattern decorates the shoulders while four animals form loop handles near the neck. Top one-third of the jar is coated with a thin, clear brown glaze. Unglazed portion is dark red, covered with burial deposits. Fairly good condition. The glaze is chipped off in large pieces. Small pieces are missing from three of the animal loop handles. One piece is missing from the braid on the shoulders. Many of the bumps on the braid are chipped. Two chips o the rim. One vertical crack fruns from the lip rim through the area of the missing b raid, branching and stopping approx. where the glaze ends. Another vertical crack stems from the base and runs about five inches up the side. A.
