The paintings are landscapes in colors on a buff-colored silk and the calligraphy is insctribed by Ch'en Yu-wei (active 16th century) on paper.  According to the inscription accombanying each leaf, the painting is executed after the styles of old masters.  The styles, however, are tenuous, bearing little relation to the original artists.
