Plum tree on back; on front leg, water plants. Metal (brass) fittings on legs and corners decorated with chased and engraved chrysanthemum motifs. Some missing pieces of mother-of-pearl; in other places, the joint between inlaid and lacquer ground has buckled leaving unstable areas of potential flaking in lacquer or loss of inlay. One vertical crack towards right front leg; cracks in the 3 "hinge" areas of the platform as if the piece had been broken in those three places and been re-glued. Some pocks and scratches and degrading in the surface black ground.</schema:description><schema:artForm>com.gallerysystems.emuseum.core.entities.Classification@65</schema:artForm><schema:url>https://emuseum.cornell.edu/objects/18557/rdf</schema:url></schema:VisualArtwork></rdf:RDF>
